Geez.

My friend has officially entered the realm of yenta-dom. We were talking over coffee today and when I mentioned that I had put up a facebook....she immediately perked up. Sensing the reason why she was sooo interested, I told her "I haven't put up any pics other than one of me as a kid."

Her response: "You're such a spoil-sport." And the reason why I'm such a spoilsport? Me having no pics up = she can't show her brother what I look like. I've been studiously avoiding an intro. w/him for 6 months...ever since she got the bright idea that we'd make a 'cute couple'...ummm, no. 

I swear between her and my grandmother...nothing's sacred! :D

Try going to synagogue. Most people at my synagogue don't like me because I'm Israeli, but they're STILL trying to always set me up with their daughters. I don't even want to imagine how many offers the guys they DO like get...

Blind dates = complete suckage...doesn't matter how "compatible" your mutual friends think you are, you'll never be able to get over the awkwardness of knowing that your friends think so little of your love life (and so highly of themselves) that they feel that their personal form of resuscitation is needed.

Um, Z? Have I got a girl for you! Pretty, smart, ahem! talented, AND she loves to cook, so you won't have to eat those nasty cupanoodles! Plus, she drinks like hooker on five cent beer night! I think you'd get along great!
